Explaining what the acronym LGBTQ+ means #pridemonth

The LGBTQ+ acronym stands for:

L: Lesbian - Refers to a woman who is emotionally, romantically, or sexually attracted to other women.

G: Gay - Refers to a person, especially a man, who is emotionally, romantically, or sexually attracted to people of the same gender.

B: Bisexual - Refers to a person who is emotionally, romantically, or sexually attracted to more than one gender.

T: Transgender - Refers to a person whose gender identity differs from the sex they were assigned at birth.

Q: Queer or Questioning - "Queer" is an umbrella term for sexual and gender minorities who are not heterosexual or cisgender. "Questioning" refers to those who are exploring their sexual orientation or gender identity.

+: Plus - This symbol includes other sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions that are not explicitly covered by the first five letters. It represents inclusivity and recognition of the diverse spectrum of identities within the community. This can include identities such as pansexual, asexual, intersex, non-binary, and more.
